Live Performance Critique Assignment Deadlines: Semester 1.
On October 20, 2013 a dance performance called “Crystal Jubilee” took place in the NMSU Center of arts. It was a combination of several types of dances in which we could see the participation of some dance companies, such as Contemporary Dance Theatre, Dancesport Company and Sol y Arena.How to Write a Critique for a Theatrical Performance A critique is an evaluation of a performance of a show. It should contain five paragraphs. 1.Beginning Theatre must see one production by the end of the forth quarter and compose a paper. All other classes must see two productions and complete papers for each by the end of the fourth quarter. These papers must be completed no more than ten school days after seeing the production and must include a ticket stub or program.
On Aug 29th, 2003, I went to a bar named Balu in Santa Ana. I saw a jazz concert performed by The Bleus band. It was very impressive. The performance presented inside on a stage in the corner of the bar. The musicians and the artist were not in uniform. They went out to stage with simple jean cloth.Critiques are due the second class following the performance. Read other critiques in Dance Magazine, if necessary. Tell the reader the name of the performance, the company or dancers performing, the date and place of the performance. Identify the composer(s), choreographer(s) and title(s) of the work(s) you have chosen to discuss.
